There’s fear, doubt, and uncertainty spiraling around us every day. It stops us dead in our tracks from reaching out and taking hold of the vision we have for our lives.
Just a few nights ago I was out having a glass of wine with some of my girlfriends when the topic of our past and personal journey came to the table.
These very special individuals have recently come into my life so we have the beauty of slowly learning about each other – peeling away the layers each time we’re together to reveal the gem that lies at the core of it all.
This night, I shared about my journey; my journey of choice & change. I shared how I had felt stuck in my own body, how I had a voice that was quieted, and how I felt stagnant, unable to leap forward while I delicately controlled every detail of my life.
When I couldn’t take anymore, I made a decision – it was the decision to surrender. I chose an empowering, fulfilling path (for me it was one of personal growth & health) and then let go; for the first time in my life, I let every emotion I felt be OK. I let the fear, doubt, confusion, joy, hope, and attachment come and go, like waves cascading up and down the shoreline. I chose a path & surrendered to the process of life.
I invite you to do the same. Choose, focus & then let go. Surrender.
What have you been waiting to do? Do you want to write, travel, quit your job, start a business, move to a new city, clean out the garage, give your kids music lessons, learn how to cook, start an exercise routine?! No matter what it is, this moment, right here, is all we are guaranteed.
Live, travel, love, write, learn, grow, question, explore, fall down, get back up, make mistakes, revise, change plans, love others, release anger, forgive, dream, ask, lead, make new friends, try new foods, give things away.
And do so consciously – with a mission, vision and purpose in mind. Let yourself be taken over by the act of living – by feeling each and every day and moment as the gift that it is. Connect with that voice that is calling out to you – begging you to step forward and into your potential.
How can you channel it and offer your gift to the world? Harness it.
Make a list, put it on your wall somewhere large enough to see, and release. Surrender and let the universe conspire on your behalf.
I invite you to start, NOW. I invite you to step into your voice. Step into your life.
Life is a gift you are presented with when you are born, don’t leave this world with that gift unopened.
