The BEST Dairy Free Milkshake Ever!

The BEST Dairy Free Milkshake Ever!

Deciding you want to live a healthy life, have energy, clear skin, and vibrant energy doesn’t mean you need to suddenly only live off green vegetables and quinoa.  Yes, there is a learning curve when it comes to learning about recipes that are DELICIOUS and HEALTH-SUPPORTIVE but hey, that’s why I’m here!

Just earlier today Ross asked me how I come up with these sweet treat creations and it goes something like this:

My mind: “I could really go for an ice cream cone or brownie sundae.”

My intuition: “No, you’ll feel like crap later.  I know it sounds good now, but trust me it’s not worth it.”

My mind: “Screw you, I want it.”

My intuition: “I got you on this one.  Just go to your fridge and see what random healthier alternatives you can throw together.”

Intuition wins, and you get recipes like this one, Pumpkin Pie SmoothieBanana Cake with Whipped Cream, & Chia Seed Pudding.

And that my friends, is how it happens.

But I digress, let me tell you about this recipe we have here.  I’ve been on a nut milk kick for years but only about a month ago did I find out that you can make homemade cashew milk without having to use a nut milk bag to strain it (which in my opinion, is the most annoying step of making homemade nut milk).

So since I discovered that I pretty much always have a huge mason jar of cashew milk sitting in my fridge.  And one night, the sweet treat craving hit.  And what are 2 staples I always have in my kitchen? BANANAS & CASHEW MILK – voila.

So let’s get to it….here is the most simple and delicious recipe for a dairy free milkshake.  I’ll give a few options for variations at the bottom so make sure you read to the end!
