What Are Your Health Goals for 2013?

Hello Friends –

Wow! It is with great pleasure, honor and excitement that I write to you today. Today marks a momentous day for me (and hopefully you!)….I am here, with the opportunity to share all that I have learned in regards to health, food, spirituality, and (w)holistic living, and you are there, open, willing and ready to receive it.

About 2 ½ years ago, when I returned from a personal journey through India, I set out with an intention to find a career I was passionate about that allowed me to make a difference in the lives of people all around the world. It is my hope, dream and desire to share my journey with you to assist you to improve your health, lose weight, flood your cells with vitamins, minerals & nutrients that will have them dancing and singing and live a passionate life full of health, clarity, peace of mind, delicious food, bliss & immense happiness.

I sincerely thank you for being a part of my purpose and passion.

Before I get too sappy on you, I want to explain a bit about why this field is so near and dear to my heart. I grew up in a very health conscious home and as my mom would like to say, “I was organic before organic was cool.” I was raised to use food as medicine, natural herbs and supplements as preventative care for illnesses and yoga and meditation to stay spiritually connected to my source and purpose. The funny thing about this is that although I always had the resources and knowledge about what I needed to do in order to have the body, energy and peace that I craved – I craved food more. And by food, I mean sugar.

For many years of my life I was a self-sabotaging sugar addict. Because I had the knowing of how I SHOULD be living, I would eat well, exercise, read my personal development & spiritual books and at night, when no one was looking, I would eat a (whole) box of cookies, chocolate, donuts, ice cream or basically anything refined, sugar laden and really, really bad for me. For years, this wrecked havoc on my digestion, weight, skin, self-esteem and overall quality of life. I felt like a failure for not being able to curb my cravings and hypocrite for being labeled as one of the “healthiest” people my friends knew while in fact I was secretly dealing with my own demons around food and self-love.

I knew I had to take this into my own hands, as there was too much I wanted to see, do and accomplish in this beautiful life and just didn’t have the space to be consumed with food and negative thoughts about my body all day long. For me it was a long personal journey full of lots of writing, learning, reading, cooking, experimenting and sharing. I learned that sugar has addictive qualities in it similar to that of heroine and cocaine and that I absolutely had to cut it out of my diet to break the addiction while I took on the task of healing myself from the inside out. I began to see the correlation between my intake of wheat, the affect it had on my blood sugar levels and end result of nightly binges. I filled the space in my heart that didn’t believe I was perfect just the way I am with things I love: adventures and traveling, supportive friendships, love for myself, running, sunshine, learning and personal growth, love for others, animals, laughter, being close to
the water, love for the world, gratitude, green juices and morning and nightly rituals that keep me focused and grounded. I began doing 2 deep whole food cleanses twice a year that completely reset and inspire me for the next 6-month period and made a commitment to only surround myself with likeminded, kick ass individuals. That would be YOU!

Since that day, nearly 5 years ago, I am a stronger, happier, healthier individual and on a mission to use my experience to help others reach their goals. What does all this have to do with you and your health?! Well, all I can say is that I’ve been there. I’ve been through it, I’ve learned, grown and am better for it. Don’t get me wrong, my journey of learning is never, ever going to be over but now that I’ve made it through to the light end of the tunnel I’d like to take some time to give it all back to you.

I invite you to share your story with me today…where are you on your journey to health & wellness?

What obstacles are you up against?

What are some of your goals for 2013?

I can’t wait to hear from you! XO

To vibrant & beautiful living,
